The Israeli Ministry of Communications has just issued the following press release over Israel Army Radio:
"Israel strongly condemns the assasination of Imad Mughniyeh and strongly denies any involvement."
An announcement is still due from the Syrian foreign minister later in the day.
There is no word on the press conference on the matter that was meant to be held by the Israeli interior minister.
